Entry from: La Quiaca, Argentina Entry Title: "Day 169 - Tupiza to La Quiaca" Entry: "We left Tupiza today at a reasonable time (10am) and made the most of our last glimpses of Bolivian countryside out of the bus window. The bus to the border wasn't the most comfortable means of transport I've ever used in my life, but it got us there in one piece... unlike the taxi we passed which had about 12 people lifiting it out of a ditch about 4 hours into the 6 hour journey! We arrived at the border town in mid-afternoon and it was absolutely 'scorchio'. After collecting our packs we walked about 10 minutes to get to the actual "frontier" (border) itself and changed some dollars into Argentinian Pesos, just to make sure that we didn't arrive in a new country with no cash. Again ;) We found the Bolivian Police office with no problems and received the necessary approval to move to the next office, Argentinian immigration. This appeared to be a walk over the bridge away, so off we trotted. When we got there we were faced with the choice of 4 queues, none of which had any headings which we could understand, apart from the last one, which simply said "immigration". So we joined that queue... or so we thought. We were soon alerted to the fact that the 15 metre line we'd 'joined' was actually over 150 metres long and ...
